ADELFAS is leading a NATO project under the “SCIENCE FOR PEACE AND SECURITY” program, which promotes dialogue and practical cooperation between allies and partners, through scientific research, technological innovation and the exchange of knowledge.
The official launch ceremony will take place on July 29 in Spain.
It involves the designing and implementing, through the application of Nano-biotechnology, two deployable and modular laboratories for the detection, identification and monitoring of chemical and biological agents. The aim is to achieve technology transfer, by sharing knowledge and experience, involving young scientists and end users such as the civil protection services of partner countries and their armies.
The results of this collaboration should significantly improve the technological capabilities of sampling, detection and identification of CB agents, of natural, accidental or malicious origin, for national and regional defenses; the three countries, forming a strategic triangle of defense and response to such incidents.
